• ABEKA PHONICS BASED CURRICULUM

    A Beka Book's systematic phonics program teaches students to read at an early age. The A Beka Book's numbers program emphasizes the basics in counting, number recognition and number concepts. A bibilical foundation is taught for academic excellence and good character training.

  • K3 CURRICULUM

    Bible - Bible Stories included lessons such as Creation, Noah, David, Jonah, Miracles of Jesus, Zacchaeus, and the Good Samaritan. Biblical virtures are aslo taught such as being kind, loving one another, sharing, being helpful and being diligent. Memory verses are also taught on a weekly basis.


    Lauguage Arts - Recognition of name, sound and picutre for short vowels and consonants. Formation of vowels and consonants in upper and lower case letters. Language development and listening skills that include color words, shapes, animals, transportation, countries, community helpers, health, safety, manners and science.


    Numbers- Simple counting 1-30, number concepts 1-15


    Arts and Crafts help with color, shapes, following directions and eye-hand coodination. 


    Fine motor skills are being delevoped as they learn and play using a variety of activies which include: Lace and trace cards, playdough, puzzles, floor puzzles, painting, dot art and coloring.


    Large Motor skills are being delevoped during recess as the students run outside, climb the rock wall, and swing. The Academy also offers a large indoor gym for rainy days and for the cold winter months for students to run, ride bikes and scooters, play with frisbees, bouncy balls and hoola hoops.

  • K4 CURRICULUM

    Arts and Crafts help with the development of motor skills in drawing, coloring, cutting and gluing.

    Lauguage Arts - Recognition of name, sound and picture for short vowels and consonants. Sounding of blends and one and two vowel words, and words with special sounds. Beginning phonics rules and special sounds. Reading sentences and stories from twelve books containing one and two vowel words and special sounds. Formation of letters, blends, words and sentences. Recognition of sentences by capital letters and periods.  


    Numbers- Number recognition and counting and writing 1-100; number concepts 1-100; numbers before and after 1-100; numbers largest and smallest 1-100; counting and writing by tens to 100; counting and writing by fives to 100; couting and writing by twos to 100; number sequences by ones; using number words 1-10 and first-tenth; value of coins and dollar bill; telling time; using the clanedar; days of the week; addition facts through 10; one-step problems in addition; beginning subtraction.


    Science - Students will learn God's plan for seeds, animals, the seashore, weather and seasons.


    Social Studies - Students will learn about Community Helpers; America and other countries around the world, including, Israel, Italy, Japan, and Mexico.


    Arts and Crafts - Basic art concepts and further development of coordination/motor skills.
